Nov 1 - Nov 2
10:00 - open ending
Zine workshop from the Nizina Project

We'll go all the way from conceptualization to the first iteration of a printed piece.
Through the example of working with your own project/series/photos, you will learn:

1) How sequence and narrative are built in a visual story. Where does the artwork begin and where does it end?

2) How to make an InDesign book layout from scratch to print.

3) How to assemble a zine by hand: what is imposition, creasing, and stitching?

Presenter
Kristina Shkileva is an artist, curator, and founder of the Nizina Project. She focuses on working with zines and photo books. More than 50 zines and photobooks have been created under Kristina's curatorship.

Participation is free on a competitive basis.
